FRiEND$HiP, The outsiders cHapTeRs 11+12

The word that i think best fits these last two chapters, is friendship. In my opinion, this word best fits the end of the book because they dont fight anymore, or argue among themselves or with the socs or someone else. They come back from court and no one gets prosecuted and everyone stay together. They visit Ponyboy and inform him on everything that happened.  In the end, all the greasers learn how to live together like one big family

Fear, chapters 9 & 10

For chapters 8 and 9, i chose the word “Fear” that best describes these two chapters because both the greasers and socs were nervous and scared of the rumble that was going to happen. Dally and Sodapop are afraid of what might happen to  Johnny because he wasnt doing so well in terms of health and because he might die. The day the rumble comes, everyone is ready and excited for it, but in my opinion, they were a little nervous and scared about it. I think they were just trying to think positive and not let their fear of losing affect them. Then Dally takes Ponyboy to the hospital to see Johnny, but died when they arrived. The whole crew were also filled with anguish and fear when they found out that Dally died in the park in the same night.  I thought that Ponyboy was also fearful when he was depressed about Johnny and Dally dying and was scared something bad was going to happen again.

FRiEND$HiP, chapters 7 & 8

I think that the appropriate word that best fits to best describe chapters 7 and 8 from The

Outsiders is “Friendship”. I think this word best suits these two chapters because in the story, it talks about Ponyboy and Johnny going back home in one piece. Darry and Sodapop aren’t mad at Ponyboy, they’re actually happy and thankful that he is back with them. Then the next day, it was like a usual morning for Ponyboy, Dally, and Sodapop, no one screamed at anybody or was angry at anyone.

Define Power: Many people thought that power can be money and other things. In the end we found out that power is a force that can make someone strong or weak. I learned that power can not be touched or seen, its an ability to do something that not much people can do.

How does power affect personal relationships? Power can both make and destroy relationships and friendships. It can change the perspective of a person like make them greedy or selfish. In my opinion, power can make anything happen in relationships.

How can power affect a persons decision making process? I think power can make you choose bad decisions and change the way people normally do things. Power can give people wrong ideas.  I believe that power can change the way you think. It could make you think bad things about people you really love or look up to.

Why is power important to people? I think it is important because it can make people stronger. It can give authority to tell people to what to do and can make successful. Power should be used to the advantage of the beholder but not use their power for a bad thing.

Chapter 5 and 6, The Outsiders

I think that the word “survival” describes these chapters the best because during these chapters they survive almost a week with a scant amount of food to eat and because during the story, the abandoned church catches fire and Ponyboy goes in to save some kids that were trapped inside the church when it caught fire. Also because they didn’t have much of anything for a long time. So that is why I chose the word “survival” to describe chapters 5 and 6.
