One fact I know is true is that smoking causes cancer. I know this is true because everyone I know kept telling me to not smoke when I was younger. I also know its true because I’ve seen commercials on TV that encourages teens not to do drugs. I’ve also seen programs where people explain what happens when you take drugs and how it takes effect. In movies I’ve seen people call cigarettes “cancer sticks” which tell me that it causes cancer.  In websites, people have included how many people have died of cancer, which comes from smoking.

I would like to how people used to live 100 years ago in terms of how people treated each other and the clothes they wore,  I’d like to know if those aspects were different. I would also like to learn some ofthe indigenous languages from my country because alot of people from my country (Guatemala) can speak different languages that origniated there in the country and becuase i think it would be nice to learn another language. I also want to be more familiar with people who have made a change in our country or in the world or who have done something important to society.

Sucess means achieving or completing a goal you set for yourself. I think you can be the most sucessful through money and religion because without money you wont be able to survive because you wont be able to pay for food and water. You also need money to pay for your house and its bills. You also might be the most sucessful through religion as well because if you pray and do good, then you will blessed.  

          I think that The Outsiders Project was an okay project because there were some good parts of the project that I liked. But there were also some that parts of the project that i didn’t like. I think that the interaction between students in different school in two different countries is great and should be done again with other classes because we got to work with other people just like us. I also liked the fact that everyone in my group was organized and did all the work they were supposed to do and finished it quickly and did it correctly.

          The only thing that I didn’t like was that someone deleted our voicethread or some error occurred in the website that deleted it so we had to upload our pictures again and tell our partners in Canada to upload theirs again and record their voices for the pictures again.  Other than that I think that this project was awesome and we should do it again and should be assigned to incoming 8th graders. About the book, I liked the book and thought it was an interesting book to read. I was into it the whole time we read it. Even though i liked it, it didn’t change the way I chose the different categories of books I would choose or increased my interest in books, but I still like reading.

For chapters 8 and 9, i chose the word “Fear” that best describes these two chapters because both the greasers and socs were nervous and scared of the rumble that was going to happen. Dally and Sodapop are afraid of what might happen to  Johnny because he wasnt doing so well in terms of health and because he might die. The day the rumble comes, everyone is ready and excited for it, but in my opinion, they were a little nervous and scared about it. I think they were just trying to think positive and not let their fear of losing affect them. Then Dally takes Ponyboy to the hospital to see Johnny, but died when they arrived. The whole crew were also filled with anguish and fear when they found out that Dally died in the park in the same night.  I thought that Ponyboy was also fearful when he was depressed about Johnny and Dally dying and was scared something bad was going to happen again.
